We’re about EXPERIENCE. With over a decade working in this industry, we have extensive training in lighting and expertly posing to flatter every body type to ensure that you look your very best in your portraits. Some of our proudest moments as photographers have been when we have clients viewing their portraits in tears because they never realized how beautiful they were before. We know the influence your wardrobe has on your images, and we’re here to help you select what to wear to create a cohesive look for your family. We even have a client closet full of dresses from which our maternity clients are welcome to borrow. We will not leave you scrambling to figure out how to do this on your own. That’s why you hired a professional.
We’re about ARTISTRY. Every image you order from your session will be professionally retouched before being sent to the lab for printing or made available as a digital download. We take great care to ensure that you look like the best version of yourself, while still maintaining that which makes you beautifully unique. We pride ourselves on getting heirloom quality artwork into your home. Over the years, we’ve curated a collection of wall art, albums, image boxes, and small prints that are crafted by the leading professional labs in our industry. Their work is impeccable, their service, outstanding. The quality of each lab is literally guaranteed to stand the test of time. We will only work with these labs because their confidence in standing behind their work affords us the ability to do the same. Your family deserves the best. All custom portrait sessions include a pre-session design and style consultation. If you're planning on an outdoor session, we'll go over location options that suit your family's personality. For studio sessions, we can discuss themes and color schemes you may be interested in. We enjoy helping our clients make wardrobe choices that will pull together a cohesive look for the whole family. For maternity clients, we even have a selection of dresses you may choose to borrow from for your session. Planning can be done over the phone, or we can meet in-person at our studio so you can see the quality and craftsmanship of our products firsthand, if you are planning on allowing us to create your printed artwork for you. We can also begin preparing for your ordering appointment by making recommendations on ways to display your portraits that would best suit your lifestyle.
The Portrait Session
The Proofing & Purchasing Appointment
After your portrait session, we will complete a soft edit on all images in your final gallery. We will also select a few images to fully retouch so that you can see how the completed images will look. All images that you choose to purchase will be fully retouched by us in this manner. Once your gallery is completed, we will invite you back in for your proofing and purchasing appointment. After viewing your entire gallery as a slideshow, we will go through your portraits one by one to select your favorites and determine how you would like to showcase them. We ask that all decision makers be present for this appointment as final approval and payment will be required to finalize your order.
The details of your portrait session will be determined by the type of session. With the exception of our Limited Edition or Mini Sessions, we do not schedule with strict time constraints. As a general guide, we plan roughly 3 hours for newborn sessions, 1 hour for family, maternity, or smash cake sessions, and 30 minutes for milestone sessions. We wrap things up once we feel we've captured everything we've set out to create or once our subjects (usually the tiniest ones) have decided that they're done. We're all about creating a positive atmosphere for all of our clients and never want to push them too far.

What Can You Expect During Your Time With Us?
The Final Steps
Once you have finalized your order, it typically takes 1-2 weeks for us to retouch your images. This timeframe is determined by the number of images ordered. Digital files will be made available via an online gallery. Once the gallery is ready for you, we will email you information about how to access it. Turnaround time for printed artwork varies by type. Albums and image boxes take approximately 6-8 weeks. Small prints and wall art are typically available in 2-3 weeks. If you choose to have us complete the custom framing for your wall art, additional time will be required, as determined by the framer we utilize. Once your artwork is complete, we will contact you to arrange a time when you can pickup your order at our studio.
